Parker Family Faces Emotional Day as Father, Daughter Play in Key Games
By Deon Cash
In a seaon that has already been a roller coaster, the Parker family will ride another set of those coasters tonight.
Anthony Parker, the head coach of the West Carrollton Pirates, has a chance to take the Pirates where few have ever taken them before.
After a up and down season, the Pirates found a groove and rode a few upperclassmen to a strong finish. The Pirates will battle Bellbrook for a chance at the Sectional Title.
With senior 6'7 combo forward Chylan Ingram and 6'3 wing Brycen Bauer-Jones leading the way early in the season, it kept the Pirates afloat until "Lil Cuz" started to find his groove.

Chylan Ingram, 1st Team All MVL |
Since the mid-season point?
Joseph Ingram has been the best player in the MVL, as his stats have skyrocketed to the point where Ingram is a top 3 scorer, top 5 rebounder, top 5 in FG%, top 5 in blocks and was named the District 9 All Underclassman of the Year.
While coach Parker is thrilled about the opportunity to do something that hasn't been done at West Carrollton in decades, he also has a daughter who will be playing in possibly the biggest game of her career.
While his daughters game is at 7:30, there is a slight hitch.
The hitch?
It's 35-40 minutes away as Chaminade will will be playing at Lakota East.
Anthony Parkers game will be at Centerville at 6pm.
Ti'yah Parker, the senior lead guard for Chaminade, has helped lead the Eagles to a resurrection in a banner year for them. She just was named to the District 15 All Star Team.
The Eagles reward after hoisting a District Championship last weekend?
Face the 3-Time champs and arguably the best High School player in the country in Dee Alexander and the Purcell Marian squad.
While Coach Parker will be front and center at Centerville, you can expect the rest of Parker squad to be in full motion at both of the games. They roll 30-40 deep at times.
Parker is feeling blessed and knows that his team has a great chance to do something special.
But one can't help to wonder, how intense tonight will be for the head coach and his household.
No matter what happens, congrats to coach Parker, the West Carrollton team, and the Chaminade-Julienne squad for a great run thus far.
