WR Kendall Owens runs Opening Kickoff for a TD as Cincinnati Flex take on Chicago Blitz in Season opener |
And it was exciting, entertaining, and bone crunching to say the least.
The Flex got the game off and rolling with a return for a TD on the first kickoff as Kendall Owens (7) went Coast-to-Coast, sending the crowd into a frenzy and stunning Chicago.
The Blitz would respond quickly, and that is the way the game would be played for the duration. Until late in the 3rd quarter.
The Chicago Blitz would take advantage of a couple of costly mistakes late in the second half, and the blitz would win the game 46-33. The blitz were led by Star RB Bryant Pasascio as he scored 5 TDs in leading the offense.
The Flex were up early in the 2nd quarter until a failed fourth down conversion which gave the Blitz the ball on the goal line. The Blitz would score, take the momentum and lead (19-13) - which would ultimately be a lead that they would never relinquish.
Despite the loss, the Flex ownership, sponsors, staff, players, and fans all felt it was a great start to a new season of spring football in the Nati.
