Money Team Stuns Carmens Crew; Columbus Regional Recap; Saturday Schedule

With the TBT coming to Dayton, Ohio this weekend and 1 million dollars on the line, we will give you the rundown on the Regional Recap, how the teams got there, and the Final 8 teams in the 2021 TBT Championship.

Columbus Regional Headlines:

The Money Team Stuns Carmens Crew with Late Surge To Get To Dayton

By Deon Cash

Floyd Mayweather vowed to bring his Money Team back stronger than ever after last years early exit from the TBT.

And boy did he do that, as The Money Team railed off a big run to pull off a improbable comeback in front of a partisan crowd in Columbus, Ohio to defeat Carmen's Crew 91-89 earlier this week.

Carmen's Crew had a 78-61 lead at one point, and a 83-75 lead when the signature Elam Ending (91) was announced.

However TMT tighened its defense and rode the hot hands of its 2 stars all the way to a 89-89 tie.

After the game, Mayweather called the squad to congratulate them on a big win.

Will Mayweather be at the games this weekend?

That remains to be seen.

But if I had to guess? I'd say the best boxer in history along with his Money Team will be in the UD Arena on Saturday as his boys will take on the Blue Collar Squad (Buffalo).

Especially with a million on the line, the nostalgia of the Arena, and the energy of the TBT itself?

No way he will miss this.

The Money Team plays at 9pmET, 6pm PT) on Saturday Night, which is primetime for Mayweather, who lives on Pacific Coast time anyways.

Columbus Regional Recap

Red Scare Cruise in 1st Round, Fall to Category 5

The Dayton Flyers Affiliate team, the Red Scare,  came out firing on all cylinders in round 1, blasting their opponent 88-44. But in the 2nd round the Flyers got down early to Category 5 (Miami, Florida affiliate) and couldn't survive, falling in the second round. "We're dissapointed for the fans," Former Flyer hooper Devin Oliver stated.

Men of Mackey Fall to Carmens Crew

The Men of Mackey (Purdue affiliate) had a nice 1st game, as Robbie Hummel did work along with others. The Men of Mackey would fall to Jeff Gibbs and Carmen's Crew as David Lighty, Gibbs, and William Buford had good games to lead the victory.

Energy of TBT will Help Ohio Market

The whole vibe of the TBT is perfect, as its able to squeeze in some good hoops right when there is nothing much going on in the sports world (aside from the Olympics) which has been a work in itself. The TBT hit on something that was perfect. Bringing the old studs back to their stomping grounds and playing for a great cause or two. The play is competitive, and the Elam Ending always makes it dramatic during those final moments of the game.

"Pac Man" Jones Gives Back To Youth, Prepares For Title Bout Next Weekend

"Legend"  Pac Man Jones Gives Back To Youth, Prepares For Title Bout Next Weekend

by Deon Cash

Adam “Pac Man” Jones, former NFL Star, gave back to his old stomping grounds as he helped host a youth football camp in Georgia last month.

Jones was honored as a “Legend" along with other great football players at Westlake High School. There were over 400 kids at the Football Camp. The camp was organized by Bobby May.

“This is what I love to do,” Jones stated. “I want to help the next generation be great in football. It starts here.”

Jones is also looking to be great in another sport as he will take on the challenge of looking to become a Boxing Champion on August 27th.

In order to do that he will be taking on Bobby Laing, the champion, who stands at 5-0 so far.

Bobby Laing - RnR Champion

The event has been slated for August 27th (Friday) in  Charleston,  West Virginia. It will be a 3-round bout and it should provide some major, major excitement. Jones has always been a fiery type of guy, and this seems to fit his realm.

Jones has been on a mission since finding out he would be boxing. After watching former teammate and Bengals legend Chad OchoCinco jump in the ring, it hyped him up even more.

His workouts are nothing short of savage, as he is working with his own personal trainers, along with certified boxers as he readies for his moment in the ring. He arguably is in the best shape of his life, aside from leaving Morgantown to join the NFL.

There have been mixed results with pro athletes jumping in the ring, such as the Nate Robinson debacle or the OchoCinco fight, which was legit, which adds a legitimate amount of intrigue for this event.

Jones has absolutely no fear of Laine, except for the fear of losing to him. This is something Pac-Man absolutely hates to do. While this is a exhibition bout, there is plenty on the line and the Jones camp fully understands that.

Does Pac have the skill set, time, and mind frame to make this unbelievable accomplishment happen and win a boxing title?

That remains to be seen.

But best believe Bobby Laing and his camp are waiting, talking trash, and hootin’ and hollerin’ for a fight. They are expecting another victory, with his signature bully bar-fight style he uses.

Well get ready Mr. Lang, as Pac Man could be ready to eat your lunch and dinner on August 27th.

Let the pre-game fight ceremonies begin.
