Two of the greatest hoopers in UD Flyer history will be on 50 Years of Dayton Hoops today in a two part series.
Roosevelt Chapman, the all-time leading scorer in Dayton history, and Anthony Corbitt, a top 10 scorer and rebounder, are set to come on the show today (ABC - 11am ET).
"50 Years of Dayton Hoops" is a series (hosted by Deon Cash) in which he talks about the history of Dayton Hoops spanning the 70s up until 2020 in the realm of high school and college basketball in the Miami Valley.
This week kicks off the first set of college hoopers to the scene.
Chapman, nicknamed "Velvet" for his smooth play and catchy name, talks about why he chose UD over powerhouses like Georgetown and others, what it was like on that UD floor for the first time, and the infamous "Shot" that propelled UD over a Top 5 school, among other memorable moments.
Corbitt talks about playing well against top teams, like watching the legend, creating his own lane, and playing for Donoher and GGregory. He also talks about the impact Chapman and previous Flyers had on his decision to go to Dayton.
They both talk about many other stories in the 2-part episode that is featured today.
