Eagles Bounce Back, Prep For Showdown Friday

Eagles Bounce Back, Prep For Showdown vs #1 Cuyahoga Friday

By Deon Cash

The Clark State Eagles grabbed a much needed win on the road as they defeated Hocking College on the road.

With the win it improves the team record to 4-3 in the conference and 9-7 overall.

After a couple of really tough losses, the Eagles finally got that taste of victory back in their mouth after a rough 3-game stretch following a 7-game winning streak.

"We absolutely needed this one. We know we are still in the mix. But we have to be able to find a way to win. We were able to do that tonight. Losing 3 in a row is tough mentally. But I believe in my guys and we will figure it out."

Since losing two starters at the holiday break, the Eagles are trying to recalibrate and get back to their winning ways.

They will host the top seed in the OCCAC in Cuyahoga on Friday night, then take on another foe on the road on Saturday night.

"We have to find a way to win Friday. Cuyahoga is a top team in the country and the top team in our league. We will be ready." Coach Alstork stated.
