JOE THOMASSON LEADS TEAM TO ISRAELI “NBA FINALS" SERIES;
WILL FACE POWERHOUSE MACCABI TEL AVIV IN CHAMPIONSHIP
Joe Thomasson, Thurgood Legend and Wright State Alum, has led the Gilboa Galil Basketball Organization in Israel to the Winner League Championship series.
WATCH CHAMPIONSHIP HERE:
The Winner League is widely regarded as one of the Top 3-5 leagues in Europe. Thomasson, has Gilboa in the after a series win over a tough opponent, is now is one series win away from a Professional championship.
While a win would be huge to his legacy, what Thomasson has done in his time with Gilboa Galil is nothing short of spectacular.
At the young age of 27, he has taken a young squad to the brink of elite company in his 1st season. Thomasson is a stat sheet stuffer, and has been extremely efficient, which has taken Gilboa to levels unreached in decades.
Thomasson is in full control and it shows in the fact that he can play multiple positions (1-3) and can do whatever is needed to win the game.
His stats also don’t show the grit, the fire in his eyes, the energy he brings every night on both sides of the floor. Add to the fact that he is every bit of 6'5, which is great size for a combo guard or forward in the new “Position-less NBA” and Thomasson legitimately could be in line for a spot.
Regardless, Thomasson is living his best life, as he has just gotten engaged to his high school sweetheart after the last series. He has his kids overseas with him, and, his life is becoming more and more complete and exciting at the same damn time.
However, he could live even better with a Winner League Championship.

“I do this for the underdog,” Thomasson stated, as he clearly knows that he will have to continue to do great things to get great results.
Offensively Thomasson has been great, running the show and getting the teammates buckets in the right moments constantly.
Thomasson also has elite lockdown ability on defense, which makes him possibly the best player in Israel.
These are just a few factors on why he has a excellent chance to make it on to a NBA roster come next season.
If he and his squad can take favorite Maccabi Tel Aviv, then expect the phones for his agent to be ringing off the hook.
Regardless, expect a great series from Thomasson as Isreal kicks off their “NBA Finals” basketball championship of sorts.
