 Clark State Women Team Looks Good In Final Scrimmage;

Faces Rio Grande in Season Opener Friday

The Clark State Women program could be headed for a very good season, as they wrapped up their final scrimmage with a resounding victory last night.

The Lady Eagles took down Rio Grande in front of a nearly packed house at Clark State.

Coach Corey Steinke would talk after the game.

"We played well tonight. We got some work to do but our girls came out and executed what we wanted to do. We know we will see them on Friday, so we will prepare for that matchup."

Kayla Reeves, Megan Bailey and Day Day Kimble led the Lady Eages in the big win.

In speaking with the Rio Grande coach, she was pleased with the effort in the 2nd half, but knows they need to play better.

"We have to find someone to step up and take the key shots and be able to make plays. We have a young team, but we will get back to work and prep for the season opener on Friday.

Clark State will go to Rio Grande on Friday for the season opener for both teams.
