Clark State Handles Business After Layoff; Moves Win Streak to 4 as Richardson, Ajaezu Shine

Readies for Wittenberg Tonight

The Clark State men's team took a week off due to bad weather, but found their rhythm to defeat  Bryant-Stratton and look to continue the winning streak tonight.

After a close game in the first portion of the 1st half, the Eagles found a groove heading into halftime, and took a 38-29 lead.

In the 2nd half the game would stay a 10-15 point advantage for Clark State, until the final 7 minutes of the game, where the Eagles just wore down Bryant-Stratton and went on a huge game closing run to win easily 93-69.

Clark State is in the top 5 in the country in scoring average in junior college.

The Eagles were lead by rising two-way forward Isaiah Richardson, who dropped 19 points with 11 rebounds and was a force all night.

Richardson, a 6'7 combo forward, is a legitimate D-1 prsopect.

The Eagles had four players in double figures as All-America candidate Nnamdi Ajaezu (18 pts, 12 reb), sharpshooter Trevor Platton (12 pts, 4 3's), and point guard Jaden Dunn (14 pts) all did work.

"We looked rusty, but we were able to shake off the rust and get going like we need to." Coach Alstork stated.

The Eagles now sit at 7-3 in the OCCAC as they prep for Wittenberg tonight, Wright Patt Tuesday, and then another conference game vs Lorain on Saturday before a non conference game and then the final 3 game stretch of Edison State, Lakeland and Cuyahoga to end the season.

"We have to get back to playing our best ball. Now is the time." Coach Alstork stated.

Bryant-Stratton had a former Northmont and West Carrollton hooper in the starting lineup in sophomore guard Remi Gilmore.
