Its Official: Carlos Knox Hired as Indiana Fever Coach

Its Official: Carlos Knox Hired as New Indiana Fever Coach

By Deon Cash

Carlos Knox, one of the best players in Dayton and  Indiana hoop history, has been selected to be the head coach of the Indiana Fever for the remainder of the season, per reports.

Marianne Stanley, who was the coach this year, had guided the team to a 2-7 record in the WNBA this season. Lately it seems that Stanley couldn't find the right formula for success after a 2-2 start.

The team has lost 5 straight games when the move was made to let Stanley go.

Knox has a wealth of knowledge and was a leader himself on the court. He is a master motivator and will get the absolute most out of the players after coaching at Cincinnati and North Texas most recently.

He was with the Fever before those stints during the Tamika Catchings Era, when the Fever were very tough every single year.

Look for a turnaround in the Fever season with Knox at the helm.

RUMOR MILL: Is Daequan Cook Headed Back To Oklahoma City?

RUMOR MILLDaequan Cook Headed Back To Oklahoma City?

By Deon Cash

Former 3-Pt Champion Daequan Cook could be headed back to coach in the NBA, per the reports.

Cook, who was drafted by Miami before being traded to Oklahoma City after 3 years, was playing overseas before seemingly deciding to hang up the sneakers last year.

While Cook was training, he decided that he wanted to get back in the game, and the guy who drafted him wanted to bring him back into the fold. He went to an Oklahoma City game about a couple months ago, and the rest was history.

Cook could join the Oklahoma City staff starting this summer. No official word has been said, so stay tuned for more info.

If this happens, this will ultimately end the career of arguably the best hooper in Dayton history, as he guided the Dunbar Wolverines to a State title and helped lead Ohio State to the NCAA Title game before being drafted in the 1st round by the Heat.
