"Legend" Pac Man Jones Gives Back To Youth, Prepares For Title Bout Next Weekend
by Deon Cash
Adam “Pac Man” Jones, former NFL Star, gave back to his old stomping grounds as he helped host a youth football camp in Georgia last month.
Jones was honored as a “Legend" along with other great football players at Westlake High School. There were over 400 kids at the Football Camp. The camp was organized by Bobby May.
“This is what I love to do,” Jones stated. “I want to help the next generation be great in football. It starts here.”
Jones is also looking to be great in another sport as he will take on the challenge of looking to become a Boxing Champion on August 27th.
In order to do that he will be taking on Bobby Laing, the champion, who stands at 5-0 so far.
The event has been slated for August 27th (Friday) in Charleston, West Virginia. It will be a 3-round bout and it should provide some major, major excitement. Jones has always been a fiery type of guy, and this seems to fit his realm.
Jones has been on a mission since finding out he would be boxing. After watching former teammate and Bengals legend Chad OchoCinco jump in the ring, it hyped him up even more.
His workouts are nothing short of savage, as he is working with his own personal trainers, along with certified boxers as he readies for his moment in the ring. He arguably is in the best shape of his life, aside from leaving Morgantown to join the NFL.
There have been mixed results with pro athletes jumping in the ring, such as the Nate Robinson debacle or the OchoCinco fight, which was legit, which adds a legitimate amount of intrigue for this event.
Jones has absolutely no fear of Laine, except for the fear of losing to him. This is something Pac-Man absolutely hates to do. While this is a exhibition bout, there is plenty on the line and the Jones camp fully understands that.
Does Pac have the skill set, time, and mind frame to make this unbelievable accomplishment happen and win a boxing title?
That remains to be seen.
But best believe Bobby Laing and his camp are waiting, talking trash, and hootin’ and hollerin’ for a fight. They are expecting another victory, with his signature bully bar-fight style he uses.
Well get ready Mr. Lang, as Pac Man could be ready to eat your lunch and dinner on August 27th.
Let the pre-game fight ceremonies begin.
