Here are the Kingdom Summer League (Cincy) Headlines, Recap, & Stars from Week 3
SIMPYS STAYS UNDEFEATED AS 3PM & 4PM PLAY TOGETHER TO STOP CINCINNATI WARRIORS
SIMPYS continued their winning ways behind the trio of Paul Mcmillan IV (30 pts), Kelise Frye (18 pts, 5 reb, 2 blks, 2 stls) & Terry Durham (12pts, 10 reb, 2 blks, 2 stls). With the win SIMPYS stays tied with COMMITTED at the top of the League at 3-0. Big man Coreontae DeBerry led the CINCINNATI WARRIORS with 21 while Obie Bronston came off the bench and dropped 17 in the loss. The Warriors fall to 1-2 on the season.
Paul McMillan III and Paul McMillan IV played together for the first time in the League this season. Will that winning trend continue?
MAYSVILLE RIDES HOWARD, MELO TO 2ND WIN OVER KINGDOM 614;
STAYS 1 GAME OUT OF 1ST PLACE
The MAYSVILLE MINERS rode the hot hands of Greg Howard and Melo Hunter to a tough win against a hungry KINGDOM 614 squad 87-82.
Howard dropped 29 points in almost 25 minutes while Melo added 15 points, 5 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals in the win.
Jerry Saunders was hot, scoring 28 while Dishon Daniels added 21 in the loss.
With the win MAYSVILLE improves to 2-1 on the season while Kingdom 614 falls to 0-3.
COMMITTED TO MY CRAFT CONTINUES WINNING STREAK BEHIND MOORE, JOHNSON, WRIGHT STATE TRANSFER; DEFEATS GOD DID
COMMITTED TO MY CRAFT continued their winning ways as new Wright State transfer Michael Imariagbe went crazy and former Belmont star G Kendall Moore continued his scorching hot start to lead 5 players in double figures.
Imariagbe, a 6'6 F, was 10-15 & 3-5 from 3 and added 6 rebounds and 4 steals to lead COMMITTED to a 3-0 record while Moore dropped 21 points 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
"Mike and Kendall was huge for us today. We're glad to have Mike with us for the rest of the summer league."
Coach Xander Smart said after the game.
GOD DID was led by big man Nidiaye Cheikh who had a double double (18pts, 13 reb, 2 blks) in the loss.
GOD DID shot 35% for the game, which has been a testament to COMMITTED team defense this season. They fall to 0-3.
TEAM QCP HOLDS OFF RED SCARE BEHIND TRIO OF EDWARDS, SINGLETARY & THOMAS;
FINAL PLAY SPARKS DEBATE AS SIBERT NAILS SHOT
The final game featured QCP vs RED SCARE and it was all QCP until the end of the game when the RED SCARE made a run.
After QCP squandered some free throws the RED SCARE had a chance to tie the game, which initially it looked as if they would do.
However after further review, it was confirmed that Jordan Sibert, the NBA hooper and UD Legend, foot was on the line, making it a 2 and costing the RED SCARE a chance at winning in OT. QCP would win 82-81, giving them their second win in a row.
The trio of Vince Edwards (24pts,11 reb, 5 assists), Charles Singletary (20pts, 14 reb), and Aaron Thomas (20pts, 6 reb) was dominant all game. Add Isaac Stamper 12 rebounds and QCP pummeled RED SCARE on the boards and inside. Nevertheless, RED SCARE had 5 guys in double figures, led by Brandon Doss 16 off the bench. Sibert finished with 15pts, 7 reb,and 4 assists in the loss.

QCP improves to 2-1 on the season while RED SCARE falls to 1-2.
