Top Ranked 7th Grader in Ohio Offered Scholarship by HBCU Program

Central State offers Terry Holt III

By Deon Cash

Terry Holt III, known as T3 in the Youth basketball AAU world, has racked up some serious accolades in his young, illustrious, high-profile career.

But this most recent accolade could be the one that starts the Snowball effect for the rest of his career.

Holt was offered a verbal full ride college scholarship to Central State University just recently.

Holt is a 7th grader who resides in south Dayton, Ohio.

He played last season for Bellbrook Middle School, which won their 7th grade conference tournament.

Holt, who has been ranked in the Top 5 nationally for years, and is currently #1 in some rankings for the Class of 2032, recieved the offer from the head coach of Central State, Coach Travis Lewis.

Terry Holt Jr would speak on his son being offered a scholarship this young.

"It's a great honor for my son to be offered a college scholarship.  He's only in middle school.

Central State is a elite black college and educational establishment and is one of the top HBCUs in the country. So yeah, we are so proud of Terry." Holt Jr.  would state.

"Hopefully it's the first of many to come."

Central State is located just 30 minutes from downtown Dayton. It's one of the most storied franchises in the HBCU circuit.

Holts' social media has been going viral, as he made the announcement recently.

He's currently on the circuit playing with one of the top teams on the National Circuit (The Fam) and currently plays with A3C Elite throughout the AAU year.

Congratulations to a kid who has developed his game and continued to grow into a elite hooper who, despite the naysayers, has blossomed into the player that could be on a lot of college radars in the upcoming years.
