Clark State Men Drop 129 in Season Opener

Clark State Men Drop 129 in Season Opener

By Deon Cash

The Clark State mens basketball team opened up its season with a bang, as they dropped 129 points in a rout of Cedarville JV in the season opener.

The game started slowly for Clark State, as Cedarville jumped out to a 7-2 lead.

From then on, it was all Clark State as the Eagles stifling defense and pressure was too much for the Eagles to deal with.

"We played good basketball today. This was the start we expected. These guys and the staff gave worked very hard to get ready for this season."

At halftime the Springfield Elite youth program was honored for winning the youth championship in football.

"We want to honor all of the successful programs, and it starts with Springfield Elite. We thank them for coming out this week." Alstork stated.

With the win the Eagles are now 1-0 on the season.

The Eagles will head to Detroit area to a big showcase this weekend.
