Clark State Men Grabs Win in 1st Game of 2025 Behind Miller Double Double;
Will Face Miami-Hamilton Tonight
By Deon Cash
The Clark State Eagles returned to action after a month long layoff and looked sharp, defeating the Wilberorce JV in convincing fashion by a score of 90-73.
After a tough start to the season and a long break, which included a postponement in the previous two games, the Eagles got back in action at home, which started at 4 game in 7 day stretch for the Eagles.
Clark State would jump out a big lead early, using its enthusiasm and energy to propel themselves to a double digit lead 5 minutes into the game.
#10 Brandon Miller, one of the leaders of the team and a dynamic power G-F, led the Eagles with a double double. Miller is averaging almost 13ppg, with 7rpg, while shooting 58% from 2 & 40% from 3 and can and will shut down your best offensive player.
Miller is definitely a next level player for any program.
Miller has been the most consistent player on the team this season, and they will need him more than ever as they face a crucial stretch after having their previous two games postponed due to weather.
Clark State now moves to 6-8 and will go to Miami -Hamilton tonight before heading on the road to face another non-conference opponent.
They will have four straight OCCAC games starting Saturday, which could shape how the 2nd portion of the season will go for the Eagles, who, despite at 1-4, still feel like they can make a run at a top 3 spot in the conference.
