After the first week of the Kingdom Summer League Cincy, here are the takeaways, Recap, and stars of Week 1
TAKEAWAY FROM WEEK 1
Was a historic and great first Week for Paul McMillan and the league. With the stands filled at Princeton HS with an anxious audience, reporters and local stars, the games were intense and filled with highlights.
STARS COME TO PLAY...AND WATCH
The likes of NBA Vets Trey Burke & Darius Bazely, Oregon's Raheim Moss, Arkansas F Jeremiah Davenport, Central Michigan Paul Mcmillan IV & NBA G League Vince Edwards came to play for their respective teams.
Rayvon Griffith, the next star for UC Basketball, was in attendance but did not play.
Overtime OTC, Fox 19 Cincinnati & S.E.Live365 was in attendance as well.
Corie Blount, the UC Legend and NBA Vet who played for 10+ years in the league, was a coach in the Kingdom Summer League.
Blount would do a interview after the game with us after the game.
WEEK 1 RECAP
GOD DID FALLS TO CINCINNATI WARRIORS
The first game started at 1:45 & featured God Did vs the Cincinnati Warriors. The Warriors were able to grab a big win as Pat White went crazy for 35, 6, & 5 in the season opening win.
The Warriors made a run and cut it under 10 with less than 5 min to play, but White and Co shut it down late to cruise to a double digit win.

KINGDOM 614 vs RED SCARE GOES DOWN TO FINAL SHOT
One of the "Game of the Week" games and it was a battle as Red Scare held a lead early and often. However Trey Burke led KINGDOM 614 back with a furious comeback in the 4th quarter.
However the final attempt by Burke was blocked from behind, sealing the deal. Raheim Moss, the Oregon commit, led the RED SCARE while Burke led KINGDOM.
"COMMITTED" COMES THRU BIG vs MARYSVILLE
COMMITTED TO MY CRAFT, the reigning Champs in the Kingdom Columbus league, started off the Cincy league with a statement win over MARYSVILLE MINERS in week 1.
Pro guard Darius Quisenberry led the squad with a balanced effort, and had plenty of help as coach and director of COMMITTED Xander Smart eluded to.
"Quizz was making all the right plays and led us to victory today. We played a good game today, and had a balanced effort which is good for us." Smart would say after the game.
SIMPYS KNOCKS OFF QCP BEHIND STRONG TEAM EFFORT
SIMPYS PLAYHOUSE used its talented roster, led by Jeremiah Davenport and Paul Mcmillan IV to stop a tough QCP team.
QCP was coached by Corie Blount and was able to get back in the game after a fast start by SIMPYS in the first half.
QCP, with the likes of G League and Overseas Star Vince Edwards on the team, found a way to cut the lead back and almost tie it up in the 3rd quarter. But SIMPYS used it's dominant roster to finish off QCP in the 4th and grab their frist w in the opening week.

Simpys seemed to have the deepest roster and used it to the fullest in a statement win last week.
