Clark State Defeats Rio Grande; Faces #1 Lakeland In Crucial Home & Home Series Today
The Clark State Eagles continue to play well, knocking off a tough Rio Grande team at home earlier this week by a score of 105-91.
With the win the Eagles improve to 11-8 overall and now face the #1 team in the OCCAC in Lakeland CC.
Lakeland is 7-1 in the OCCAC, which has them tied for first place with Hocking College. Clark State is tied for 3rd place at 7-3 with Cuyahoga while Edison St CC sits in 5th place at 7-4.
We been working all year and now is the time. We have worked extremely hard to get to this point."
Head Coach Quinton Alstork stated.
The first game of the home and home series will take place this afternoon at Lakeland CC.
The game will be on at 3pm today and they will play tomorrow at Clark State at 1pm.
If the Eagles can split these games, it will keep them in a tie for 3rd place and in real contention for a playoff spot for the Regional Tournament next month.
Despite the lack of height, this Clark State Eagles team is extremely gritty and averages 95ppg, which is Top 5 offensively in the country.
