Clark State Men Near Top Of OCCAC After Home Win vs Terra State
The Clark State Mens basketball program knocked off another league opponent yesterday, and with the win the Eagles have now won 3 of their last 4 and sit at 6-6 overall, despite the inexplicable loss on a game they had to take this season.
But what is even sweeter is that the Eagles sit alone in 2nd place in the OCAAC for the first time in years.
They are now 4-1 after the big home win last night.
The Eagles outlasted Terra State CC in a battle 98-87 to remain in a tie for second place with Cuyahoga (3-1) and 1 game behind Lakeland (3-0) who was undefeated before the series of games were reported by the league website (as of today).
"These guys are showing they are a special group of young men." Alstork stated.
"No matter who is down or not able to play, once this group hits the court? They will leave it all on the line. Thats all we can ask for." Alstork would say at practice before the matchup.
Clark State was able to wear down Terra CC as they were able to get a lead and never relinquish it later in the contest.
Moe Fofana was dynamic in the game, and Chris Herbort provided some great numbers and intensity throughout the game, which has seemed to be the staple of the team this season.
No matter the odds, this Eagles team is ready for battle.
Coach Alstork and his esteemed staff have came in and ressurected the boys program.
They will face Owens CC on Saturday as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, with the boys playing at 1 followed by the girls at 3pm at Clark State.
