Its OFFICIAL; Dayton Weekly Newspaper hires new Sports Director; Set to Launch Online Platform

The Dayton Weekly Newspaper, one of the Media giants who has been a staple in the Miami Valley for over 2 decades, has agreed to hire Deon Cash as its new Sports Director for the legendary paper.

Cash, who currently is the CEO of www.SELive365.com and  Co-Host of the hit TV Show / Podcast Dayton HS Sports, will be the new Director of the Sports Department.

The Weekly wants to revitalize the sports division, and Cash is up for the challenge.

Background:
Cash went to Colonel White HS, where he was 2-Time-City,  All-Region and District 15 All-Star before graduating in 1995. Coming from the basketball rich Cash family, he received a basketball Scholarship to Western Nebraska CC, then the University of  Idaho, before finishing college at Cumberland University with a Bachelors Degree in Education & a Minor in P.R. / Communications.

Cash would then play Professional Basketball overseas (Germany, France, Holland) for almost 5 years, before coming back home to pursue NBA career.
After being cut from CBA, Cash pursued his other dream of becoming a sports broadcaster.

En route to becoming a broadcaster, Cash also has been a journalist and media host for the Weekly the last 3 years, in Journalism for 5 years total. He now has his own Sports Media Company (S.E.Live Productions LLC) and rising management team.

Cash, who created the crtically acclaimed show Dayton HS Sports 5 years ago, has won Best Sports Shows Regionally (Best Show in the Midwest) for the last 2 years, and has been nominated for 2 awards this year as well.

He currently is in negotiations with IHeartMedia to host his sports show for the upcoming season.

When asked why he wanted the job?
It was simple for Cash.
He wants the opportunity to work a once powerhouse of a Newspaper and help take it back to the top.
All the while creating new and exciting opportunities for the future of the talented student athletes in the city.

Cash will be creating some new online opportunities and platforms with the Dayton Weekly, and is also looking to add a staff to assist in helping rebuild the sports department.
