Easter II Continues To Dominate EYBL League; USA Trials Up Next

Easter II Continues To Dominate EYBL League; Makes Appearance At Brickley Invitational

USA Trials Up Next

By Deon Cash

Jerry Easter II has continued to ball after going to one of the top HS Showcases in the country recently in between the EYBL Summer League.

After another elite EYBL showing in Atlanta, where Easter II was named MVP, he was invited to a elite showcase where the top 15 players for boys and girls in the country were on hand.

Easter II was invited to the Chris Brickley Invitiational, which was held in downtown Chicago in a exclusive location where the gym was on the 20th floor.

The star power was evident, with the likes of possible #1 pick Mathias Buzelis, Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese, UConn Star Azi Fudd, and NBA Legend Zach Randolph in attendance.

Brickley is one of the top pro trainers in the world, as he has trained the likes of LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, and hundreds of pro athletes over his career. He was a former hooper at Louisville and moves the needle in the basketball world.

Dylan Harper, Tyran Stokes, Jamier Jones, and other top tier hoopers were on hand at the Brickley Invitational as the top players were put to the test in some 1v1 Drills, practice, and then the showcase game.

Easter II showcased his elite 1v1 skillset by dominating the drills, then proceeded to drop a bevy of 3s in the showcase game.

Easter II would represent one of the few juniors who were selected, and Brickley gave a nice analysis of Easter afterwards, which was hard earned.

Easter II has had to grind to get to the Top 20, but it seems like he is more of a Top 10 player in the class. And if we're going off status included? He's arguably in the Top 5.

Easter II exploded in Indy after the break, falling to the top tier Nightrydas squad, who are led by the Boozer brothers.  Easter, despite starting 1-7, ended up catching fire and keeping Team Final in the game before losing late.

Easter II would end up with 25 points and a near triple double as well.

Then they would defeat Kiyan Anthony squad before finishing up with a big win on Sunday as LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony watched.

Easter II just finished his junior year of school, and he has been invited back for the 2nd round of USA U18 Trials this wweekend. There are 30 kids left.

If Easter makes the team they will head out of the country for the Olympic U18 Games.

While Easter has finally finished his junior year at La Lumiere, there's no doubt that he will be ready for Team USA Trials this weekend.

Look for Easter and his upcoming news here on a weekly basis.
